Don’t look back

Written by Lady Jude

Don’t look back

On a stormy night in June
She’d fled down the pathway
The wind sweeping her hair back
Running into gale force winds
Holding back her tears
Into the lonely night she ran
His fists had flung at her
In terror she fled
Lost in a world of grief
She never once looked back

  1. Written with plenty of emotion. Being with an absuer can be like wading hip deep in quicksand while demons whip you and tell you you’re stupid. Really a Dante’s Inferno of all 9 circles at once. This woman was lucky to have escaped with her life. No doubt the road ahead of her will be scary and unsettled, but it won’t be like that forever.
    Wonderfully written.

  2. Straight to the point dear friend , so much said in so few words yet all is clear to read ,I understand fully the hurt and emotions within the words and I read the words as they apply to both male and female.

  5. Sometimes we have to have the courage not to look back. So many in life want to Flee and yet still face Their Daily Terror..
A sad but true reflection and Like Beth says different. But one I liked very much Lady J..
Love and Blessings sent your way.. 🙂
