I was born into a small coal mining community on the West Coast of the South Island, New Zealand. We left the South Island in 1968 when they closed the Dobson Coalmine down. We then migrated to the North Island of New Zealand and now I call Porirua City home.
I’m currently writing a collection of poems titled My Stormy Weather, based on the ups and downs of my world. Whenever I’ve weathered a storm I find it a great release to write my emotions down in my personal journey of poetry.
