A journey of self discovery

Written by Lady Jude

A journey of self discovery

On an early mid-winter morning in June
A young man boarded the train
Both mysterious and handsome in appearance
Except for the sadness lingering in his eyes

Sitting down alone upon the red leather seats
His eyes stared blankly ahead
Appearing not to be focused on anything
His mind miles away lost in deep thought

A long journey ahead to an unknown destination
No distant seemed to far away when leaving the past behind
Seeking out and ready to explore new horizons
The beginning of a new destiny ahead

Two days of travel the journey finally ended
Green meadows had rolled by one after another
Wanting to be free of the burdens of yesterday
He simply needed solitude and space to gather his thoughts

A time for reflection of long term aims, goals and ambitions
Simply a time out to think things over
A time of self imposed solitude a time to let go of the past
Simply self imposed withdrawal to think through the larger issues..
